Henry (Henrij) Sheer Schryver was born on 14 November 1781.  He was baptized on 20 January 1782 in Poughkeepsie NY.   His sponsors were Johannes and Marytje Sheer.  Details of his death are not known other than he probably died before 1830.  Information from John Stevenson, a descendent of this line, has Henry's middle name spelled Shearer.

Henry married Ruby Payne (or possibly Paine).  We have no information on her.

They were married, probably on 9 February 1779 in either Poughkeepsie or New Hackensack, New York. A date of 23 January 1779 has also been found, but this is probably the date of banns.   They had eight (8) children.  Records show different spellings of the surname and, in fact, the children's surnames also vary.  They resided in Oswego NY.

I would like to extend thanks to William and Joanne Sholes of California.  They have sent me some valuable information on Henry's line which has corrected many pieces of information we previously had posted  incorrectly.  They have also provided a Family Group Sheet for Henry Sheer Schryver.
