Martinus Schryver was born in 1724, probably in Rhinebeck, Dutchess County, New York. He was the
seventh of nine children and
the fourth son of Albertus Schreiber and
Eva Lauermann Schreiber. He died in 1788, probably in Rhinebeck.

He married Eva Burger on 28
Aubust 1750 in Kingston, Ulster County, New
York. She was born on 6 February 1726 and died on 28 July 1817 in
Rhinebeck. She is buried in the Reformed Dutch Church Yard.
