Blondina Schryver
was born in December 1792 in Klyne Esopus, Ulster County, NY and
baptized on the 2nd of that month.
She was the eighth child and third daughter of Martinus and Margrietje Schryver.

James Terpenning was born in
Klein Esopus NY in 1789. He apparently resided in Kingston NY at
the time of their marriage.

Blondina and James were married on February 11,
1809. She was 16 at the time. Neither had been married before. This can be a
confusing situation. Blondina had a sister, Sophia, who was
married to a different James Terpenning.

Blondina and James had one (1) son. He was part
of the fifth generation of the
Schryver family in America:

Peter Terpenning b: November 24, 1816; d:
unknown ... a note in the Burch book indicates that another researcher
does not have this birth. Garret, a later sibling to Blondina had
a son named Peter Terpenning Schryver, born on this same date so there
could be an error here. Susan Schock's information lists this
birth in 1816, but no specific date.
