Margaret A. Schriver was born on February 23, 1822 and baptized in 1825.  The Burch book shows that she was baptized at the family home in Esopus NY.  Susan Schock's work indicates that the baptism was held at the Klyne Esopus Church and that it was recorded in church records #721.  Margaret was the first child and daughter of Philip William and Polly Wright Schriver.

Margaret was probably named after her paternal grandmother, Margrietje Terpening Schryver.  Traditionally, German families named the first daughter after the father's mother.

We have no information on her death.

Reuben Cochran was a son of Cornelius Cochran and Lavinia ?.  He was born about 1820 in the town of Rockland, Sullivan County, NY.

He died in Sullivan County on August 23, 1897 at the age of 77.

The text of the Burch book is somewhat confusing about Margaret and Reuben's marriage.  Our interpretation of the entry is that they were living in Rockland at the time of the 1850 census.

Margaret and Reuben had two (2) children.  They were part of the sixth generation of the Schryver family in America:
