Ellen Schriver was born on August 21, 1819 in New
Paltz NY. She was the fourth child and second daughter of Martinus and Lena Falk
Schryver. She is the second child in this family to have the
surname spelling altered. In fact, this spelling is different from
her next older sibling, which had also been changed. She was
baptized on July 8, 1820 as Lena. She has also been referred to as
Helen. Her baptism was in Katsbaan.
She died on February 3, 1900 at the age of 81-7-0. We
assume she was buried with her husband.

to a ? Mason. We have no information on him. Her
second marriage was to George N. Hallenbeck.
