Blake Dickenson Scriber was the second child and
son of John Eli and Mary Esther Purvis Scriber. He was born
on May 30, 1871 in Livingston Manor, NY.
The
following appeared in the Roscoe-Rockland Review May 28, 1908:

here, has taken a position as a regular fireman. Geo. Christle
has taken the place vacated by Mr. Scriber. |

of A.M. and Bert - Father of Roy
Blake
Dickenson Scriber, of Livingston Manor, 66 years old, died
Monday at 11:45 AM at his home of diabetes and heart trouble. He
had been ailing for two years and in critical condition for the
past two weeks. He was married October 2 1893 to Hattie Wolcott,
who survives with one son, Roy, who is an employee of the Republican
Watchman. A.M. and Bert Scriber are brothers of the deceased
and attended the funeral Wednesday. There is also one sister
Mrs. J.P. Williams of Maybrook, the former Carrie Scriber.
Mr.
Scriber was employed for 40 years on the O. & W. as a
fireman. He belonged to the Masonic Lodge. Mr. Scriber’s
parents were John E. and Mary Esther Purvis Scriber. He was born
at Livingston Manor. His funeral was held at 2 o’clock
Wednesday at the Manor. Burial was at Livingston Manor. |
He died on November 22, 1937 at the age of 66.
He died and is buried in Livingston Manor.
